Student Organizations

We encourage students to get involved in student-led organizations on campus to gain leadership skills and experience in their field of study.

Professional Opportunities

Job shadowing and part-time jobs are some of the ways our students gain real-world experience working in nutrition and health fields.

Volunteer Opportunities

Many of our students gain valuable experience volunteering with organizations focused on nutrition, health and food systems.

Undergraduate Research Opportunities

Students have opportunities to gain research experience by working with faculty researchers in the community and in state-of-the-art labs.

Education Abroad

Our students have opportunities to study abroad in Australia, Ghana and Italy. Study tours last for different lengths of stay, and students are able to immerse themselves in another culture as they learn about global nutrition.

Agriculture Residential Community

Our department is part of the Agriculture Residential College, a unique opportunity for students in the College of Agriculture, Food and Environment to live and learn together. Students explore career opportunities through programs, field trips and faculty interaction inside and outside the classroom.
